NaijaFest 2023 , the first ever Nigerian themed festival was a resounding success, exceeding expectations. Here’s a recap of the event for us to revisit the memorable moments!

The festival took place on Sunday, October 1st, 2023, at the Alexander Hall, DE KONING events centre in Amsterdam. The atmosphere exuded the regal ambiance reminiscent of Balmoral right here in Amsterdam. The venue featured designated seating areas for the audience, a food court, a kids’ play area, a bar, and a stunning stage for spectacular performances.

A true highlight of the event was the spectacular Nigerian fashion show. It wasn’t just a runway; it was a journey through African style, showcasing outfits for kids, adult males, and females. This took guests to a typical African Fashion show, leading to a nice home-away-from-home feeling.

The event saw food, beauty and clothing vendors display their products to a wide range of participants.  The aroma of Nigerian delicacies prepared and sold by our very own Naija Chefs filled the air. We had dishes from Chef Zibah, NaijaKitchen NL, Vee’s Place, Madam Gold, The Jollof Place and Afrosnacks. These delicacies such as Fried and Jollof Rice, Egusi soup and Fufu, Efo Riro, Abacha, and Nkowobi  amongst others. These meals took guests back home there in DE KONING.
